Organising an RLI Event

Pre-arrangements

Please find a hotel with 2 small conference halls
Ask about a package for 2 lunches, 2 mid-morning snacks and coffee and evening snacks and tea for about 60 people.
Lunch and snacks to be arranged outside the Hall.
A/C halls to be closed during the sessions with no external disturbance.
Registration fees to be worked out including the cost of meals, booklets, certificates, evaluation forms, banner, backdrop, water bottles, flip charts, marker pens, chocolates, mouth fresheners, mementos, faculty accommodation and stationery.
Opening an account for registration fee remittance.
Calling for applications from the district and some from outside.
The registrations to close with 25 participants per batch.
RLI team can provide guidance on introduction, certificates, booklets, forms and applications.
RLI Zone team will provide the list of Facilitators.
There will be 6 sessions on Day 1 and 6 sessions on Day 2 completing Parts 1 and 2.

RLI - 1st Informational Letter

RLI International is a grassroots coalition of Rotary districts implementing a leadership development program for "potential" leaders of Rotary CLUBS...

The R.I. Board has adopted a resolution recommending RLI or similar programs to the districts and the Council on Legislation has twice recommended RLI to the Board.

RLI believes that excellent CLUB leadership (all types of club leaders) is essential to the future of Rotary in a complex and fast changing world.

RLI strongly believes that a good Rotary Club leader must know the evolution of Rotary, its current status and activities in the world and have a vision for what Rotary can be in the future.

In addition to the basic three-part course, RLI holds in-depth seminars on important Rotary subjects, including leadership, for the "graduates" of the basic course.

The mission of RLI is to have the clubs in the member districts identify those with the potential for future club leadership and send them to RLI courses at club expense.

The overriding goal of the courses for club Rotarians is to create ENTHUSIASM for Rotary...

RLI is a general education programme, while most Rotary International training programmes are "job-specific".

Conducting Good Rotary Leadership Institute Programmes

It is the responsibility of the District RLI Chair to conduct a successful and satisfactory RLI programme in the District.
Please talk to the District RLI Coordinator or advisor.
Please get the concurrence from the Governor.
There should be no other District programme on the days of RLI.
It is preferable to have at least 2 batches of 25 each.
The registrations should be completed 10 to 15 days before the RLI dates.
The Facilitators must be provided comfortable accommodation.
Please do not cancel your event at the last minute.
The halls should be comfortable and air conditioned.
The registration fees should be reasonable.
Please invite the Governor for the Inaugural session.
Pay your RLI Annual certification fees early.
Book your RLI slot for the District early.
